Approaches to Cycle 2 Audits

About The Workshop / Purpose:

The purpose of this workshop is to share and discuss the approaches to Cycle 2 Audits with an emphasis on preparing the Performance Portfolio.

Targeted Participants: Profile and numbers

In 2007, AUQA will finish auditing the current self-accrediting institutions (SAIs) and the accreditation agencies. From 2008, it will begin a second cycle of audits of these bodies (as well as auditing some institutions for the first time). Members of AUQA (ie the nine ministers responsible for higher education) have approved the characteristics of Cycle 2 Audits and the institutions to be audited in 2008 have started institutional preparations for writing the Performance Portfolio. There is a continuing desire by quality practitioners to discuss their experiences in connection with AUQA audits, especially about the ways to address the new emphases of Cycle 2. This workshop is designed to help meet these needs.

It is anticipated that this topic would be of interest to institutional staff with responsibilities for AUQA audits and/or for the implementation and reporting of quality assurance programs within their organisation. It is anticipated that there will be about 40 participants. The Workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Antony Stella, Audit Director, AUQA and Ms. Robyn Adams, RMIT.
